Inspire and be inspired! Inspire and be inspired!

Inspire and be inspired!
1 September 2010

There are so many different ways to run Booked Up, and lots of you are doing brilliantly creative things in your schools. We wanted to give you a space to share them - to inspire and be inspired - so we created the Coordinator blog.

But we need your help! We know that there is lots going on; when we went to the School Library Association (SLA) conference in June we were fascinated to hear about your Booked Up activities, and the impact that Booked Up has in your schools.

We’ve heard of one school that is making its own DVD of the Booked Up books and another that asks its students to write and perform short drama pieces based on the books they have chosen. But we’re sure there are many more brilliant ideas that we don’t know about.

If you have something to shout about then why not write a short piece – 300-500 words – and email it to us at bookedup@booktrust.org.uk If you have any pictures to accompany it then even better!

You can tell us who you are and the name of your school if you want the world to know about your fantastic work (and why not!) or remain anonymous if you prefer. Write a one-off piece, or keep us updated about your progress throughout the year.

To give you inspiration, why not read one of the blogs we received last year – from Lucy Reynolds, Booked Up coordinator at Wakefield City High School.

We hope to hear from you soon: email bookedup@booktrust.org.uk
